ConnectWise RMM reference
Status: Live. This page walks the wizard. The public integration page holds the status, data access and limits.
The five steps
The wizard moves through Connect, Companies, Devices, Deploy, Progress.
- Connect: choose your region (North America, Europe, Australia, Custom base URL), paste the API client ID and secret, and test. Use the custom base URL only if ConnectWise gave you a different address.
- Companies: pick the ConnectWise companies to cover and which RemediateDesk company each one maps to.
- Devices: pick the devices. Each is shown with whether ConnectWise reports it online.
- Deploy: copy the generated script, in the Windows form or the macOS and Linux form, and run it from ConnectWise.
- Progress: watch each device report in.
The script carries a deployment token that expires. The date is shown beside the script. A device that runs it after that date gets nothing, so generate a fresh one for a later wave.
Reading the progress page
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting | The script has not run on this device yet. |
| Running | It called in, was recognised, and the install is under way. |
| Installed | A fresh install finished. |
| Upgraded | An older agent was replaced. |
| Already had it | The current agent was already there. |
| Failed | The install ran and failed. The row has the detail. |
| Not in this job | The script ran on a device you never selected, and it was refused. |
Deleting a deployment record removes the record only. The machines it installed are not affected.
