Microsoft 365 reference
Status: Live. The assistant works one client company at a time, through that client's own consent.
Connecting a tenant
- Open the client's company page and choose to connect Microsoft 365.
- That client's Global Administrator signs in and approves the consent screen once.
- The company then shows a Microsoft 365 assistant you can chat with.
Consent is per client. One client's approval never gives access to another client's tenant.
Using it
Ask for what you want in the chat, for example to create a user and assign a licence. It shows each change before it runs. For repeated tasks, a saved workflow does the same job with fields to fill in.
| Tier | Actions | When it asks |
|---|---|---|
| Read only | Look up users, groups and licences. | Never. |
| Routine change | Create or update users and groups, change membership, assign or remove licences. | By the same rules as other changes. |
| Always a person | Delete a user, delete a group, reset a password. | Every time, whatever any setting says. |
What it cannot reach
The list of actions it can take holds nothing for mailboxes, files or chat history, so there is no way to ask it to read them. It also works one company at a time, with no view across your clients' tenants.
