Machines and companies

A company is a client. A machine belongs to one company. Everything you do to a specific computer starts from its page.

Companies

The Companies page lists every company with its machine count and how many are online. Opening a company shows its machines, the install panel with its key, and its integrations. A search box at the top finds a company or machine by name.

Each machine can be opened from the list. The Machines figure on the Dashboard opens a list of every machine across all companies.

A machine's page

A machine has five tabs: Chat, Health, Devices, All chats, Updates.

TabWhat it holds
ChatThe conversation with the AI for this machine.
HealthCPU, memory, disk, uptime and services, refreshed by regular health checks.
DevicesNetwork equipment, such as switches, that this machine is set up to manage. This is newer than the rest of the product and has had less real-world use.
All chatsEvery conversation on this machine, including the ones tied to tickets.
UpdatesPending updates and the version of the agent.

The header shows the machine's status. A machine that has just dropped off is read as restarting. Once it has been offline for more than fifteen minutes it is treated as disconnected and counts toward what needs attention.

The autonomy setting

The header carries a chip that reads Autonomy and one of three values: Ask for everything, Auto-run safe commands or Auto-run everything. Click it to change the setting for this machine. The Security page names the same three settings Ask for everything, Ask and Allow always.

A new machine starts on the strictest setting. A machine on full automation always shows that on its chip in the critical colour, so it cannot be left that way unnoticed.

Move, reinstall, delete

The menu on a machine row offers Reinstall agent and Move to another company, plus delete. Moving keeps the machine's history and does not need a reinstall. Deleting removes the machine's records and revokes its credentials, so treat it as permanent.
